What is HEMA?
HEMA monomers, DI-HEMA-TMHDC - found commonly in traditional gel polishes, contain small molecules that are able to penetrate the nail bed and skin. Highly reactive and volatile, these molecules can cause severe allergic and inflammatory skin reactions.

The Magpie products we use in salon are all HEMA free, vegan and cruelty-free. In addition, their beautiful highly pigmented gel colours, rubber bases and BIAB are also IBOA, HPMA, HEA and HPA free.
Removing harmful chemicals such as toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, DBP/camphor, allows you a high quality, long lasting professional manicure/pedicure service without compromising on your health.
